Taking great pride in sourcing the very best local produce and complementing it with ingredients imported directly from Italy, Giovanna and her dedicated team create delicious, classic Italian dishes in this welcoming Queenstown restaurant. Giovi fresh pasta and lasagne are produced in-house, following her original recipes.Accompany your meal with beautiful wines from LaMontina, made by Giovanna’s family in northern Italy and remember to leave space for their indulgent dessert selection.The dinner menu includes classic beef or vegetable ravioli with a choice of sauces, succulent tagliatelle carbonara (a local favourite), traditional Angus beef lasagne and a range of seasonal and unique specials.Farelli’s pizzas, served straight from the oven, are fragrant and crispy, available with gluten free bases. Accessibility & Parking
Travelling from the airport
Steamer Wharf is easily accessible from Queenstown Airport, making it an easy first stop for visitors. Taxis, rideshares and shuttle services are readily available, or you can hire a car and enjoy a scenic drive straight into the heart of town and onto the lakefront.
Accessibility
Steamer Wharf is fully accessible, with level pathways, ramps, and wide entrances throughout the precinct. Accessible parking is available close to the main venues, and all public areas are designed to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids. Please note: Due to a scheduled lift renovation, unfortunately lift access to the first floor is unavailable from the 13th - 24th October 2025.
Walking and cycling
For those cycling or walking, dedicated paths connect the precinct to the town and nearby attractions, making it simple to enjoy all that Steamer Wharf has to offer without a car.
Travelling by car and parking
Getting to Steamer Wharf by car is direct, with plenty of public parking available just a short walk from the waterfront. While the Wharf doesn’t have its own car park, you’ll find a mix of paid and timed street parking nearby, as well as larger public car parks around central Queenstown. From there, it’s only a quick stroll to the vibrant restaurants, bars and views that make Steamer Wharf a favourite destination.
Public Transport
Steamer Wharf is easily accessible by public transport, with regular buses running from the surrounding suburbs. Visitors can also reach the wharf via water taxi services across Lake Wakatipu, providing a scenic and convenient route.
