LIVE Ice Carving at Steamer Wharfby Steamer Wharf
Steamer Wharf and Minus 5° ICE BAR are stoked to announce a special Ice Carving performance during Winter Festival.
On FRIDAY 21st June between 1-3pm and 4-6pm ice sculptor extraordinaire Victor Cagayat will be putting on a special Winter Festival ice carving display in Steamer Wharf.
Victor, originally from Manila in the Philippines, learned to sculpt ice in high-end hotels crafting decorative centrepieces for events. Now he travels the country creating his frozen art pieces, and it is he that carves the amazing frozen world that is Queenstown’s Minus 5º ICE BAR, updating their hand carved sculptures every 6-8 weeks.
Come along, and bring the kids to see the ice maestro at work and witness a simple block of ice transformed into a glistening masterpiece! Warm up while you watch with boozy hot chocolates from Public Kitchen & Bar, duck into Little Blackwood for a mulled wine afterwards or dive into Minus 5º ICE BAR for a pre dinner chilly cocktail, for a ‘cool’ start to a lively night on the town.
