Farelli’s Trattoria is casual Italian dining at its best. Priding themselves in creating delicious simple food from the freshest ingredients this little gem is the real deal. Start with their signature garlic bread and follow it with a classic; Spaghetti Pomodoro with added Nelson clams or Tiger Prawn Linguine. All pasta is lovingly handmade on site and the mains feature grass-fed beef, organic free-range chicken and freshly sourced New Zealand fish.
Farelli’s pizzas, served straight from the oven are fragrant, crispy and thin-crusted and a fantastic deal during happy hour (3 – 6pm daily). Bases are available gluten-free, as is the pasta, and there’s a dedicated vegan menu. Cosy up inside or dine al fresco in the laneway of Steamer Wharf and let yourself be transported to Italy!
